So, it’s a wee bit difficult trying to get photos online at the moment. Hope to find somewhere to get wireless connection soon. What have I been up to? Picked up my Jucy Crib last Thursday, and headed off into the great unknown…. well, actually not that unknown cos I have toured this island once before.
The first few days of my trip haven’t been that exciting, apart from a stop in to see Chris and Jo (I used to work with Chris at the fire service), but I have managed to soak some of the inside of my campervan (including bedding, but thankfully not Christmas presents!), and also had a flat tyre. I’ve visited Otorohanga just up the road from where I did my abseil a few weeks ago, New Plymouth with Chris and Jo, Wanganui with flat tyre, and am now in Taupo – where all the good stuff happens on the North Island.
Took a Thermal Safari trip on NZ Riverjet today, including scenic slow cruise up the river, a tour of a smelly bubbling boiling water and mud landscape, and jetboat ride with spins back down the river. Very enjoyable. Have planned an activity for tomorrow, but it’s weather dependent, so am not saying any more 🙂
Now what am I cooking for tea tonight on my wee gas stove??
